YEARLINGS

Children move into our Yearlings Room when they are ready for the new challenges and opportunities which await them.

To prepare them for early writing, the Yearlings are provided with a wide variety of mark making opportunities with a wealth of small world experiences to encourage and enrich their developing vocabularies and social skills.   Role play is a particular feature in expanding a language rich environment.

The Yearlings make the very most of our designated outdoor play area.  With constant access in good weather, the little ones have lots of room to explore and challenge their climbing skills and risk taking.

In the Yearlings Room, a simple Nursery uniform is introduced to the children.  Apart from giving the children a sense of identity and awareness of being part of the Fairstead Family, it is an excellent preparation for their later transition to the Ponies Room.

We can accommodate 12 Yearlings per session, with a minimum of 3 members of staff.
